Kipdue Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 6, 2026. Kipdue is built to track return deadlines without surveillance, ad tracking, or inbox access.

1. Summary

Kipdue is an on-device utility developed and operated by Purlity. We do not run account systems, and we do not collect return-item data on developer-controlled servers. Kipdue does not transmit user-entered return data off device in the current release.

2. Data stored on your device

Kipdue stores the following locally on your device:

  • Return item fields: title (optional), retailer (optional), return-by date, reminder settings, and status.
  • Optional attachment metadata: filename, content type, and stored file reference.
  • Optional attachment content: photo or PDF you choose.

3. Data transmission and iCloud

In the current release, return-item data remains on your device and is not sent to developer-operated servers.

If iCloud sync is enabled in a future release, data will sync through Apple-managed CloudKit services under Apple's platform security model. Kipdue does not operate its own sync backend for user return data.

4. What Kipdue does not do

  • No account creation or login.
  • No email scanning or inbox sync.
  • No third-party ad or analytics SDK.
  • No server-side profiling of your shopping behavior.

5. Notifications

Reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device using Apple system frameworks. If notification permission is denied, Kipdue remains usable without reminders.

6. App Store and Apple platform processing

Apple may process diagnostics, crash, billing, or device-level telemetry under Apple policies. Kipdue does not add a separate third-party telemetry pipeline.

7. Data retention and deletion

Your return items and attachments remain on device until you edit, delete, or uninstall the app. Deleting an item removes its associated local attachment references from Kipdue.

Because data is stored locally, you can access, edit, and delete it directly in-app, or remove it by uninstalling Kipdue.

8. Children's privacy

Kipdue is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Policy changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and revise the effective date.
